Plenty of choice - different milks, an extra matcha shot, and larger sizes. It was also conveniently close to my hotel on a very rainy Manchester day.
Once they remade it without syrup, the matcha itself was good. Not exceptional, but balanced enough to actually taste the matcha rather than just sweetness.
Didn’t Love
My first matcha latte came extremely sweet even though I had not asked for any syrup or flavoring.
When I questioned it, the staff member seemed genuinely surprised that I wanted it unsweetened and said it would not taste good that way. For me, that was the odd part - I specifically want to taste the matcha and its umami rather than cover it with sweetness.
